This experience is about quiet moments under the Arctic night sky: the soft crunch of snow or fallen leaves beneath your feet, the cold but refreshing winter air, the starry sky, and the calm anticipation of waiting for the northern lights to appear. And finally, the ethereal lights show up through the stars, dancing and streaming from above, showcasing different colors from green, purple, pink to red. Sometimes the lights are strong enough to light up the whole landscape or reflect in calm waters, creating a magical atmosphere. Far from crowded viewpoints, the night feels spacious and serene, giving you time to breathe, look up, and settle into the silence. With a maximum of four guests, the atmosphere stays personal and unhurried, allowing you to connect with the landscape, the darkness, and the shifting colours above.
What to expect
We start the quiet evening by driving away from crowded viewpoints and bright city lights. We move at an unhurried pace, searching for clear sky and stopping at open landscapes where the sky feels wide and the surroundings remain still. We spend time outdoors in the Arctic night, adjusting to the darkness and watching the sky for signs of the ethereal lights. If the northern lights appear, we stay with them, observing how the colours shift, brighten, or fade while the landscape settles into silence. Throughout the evening, your guide chooses locations based on weather and conditions, ensuring a calm and comfortable experience with a maximum of four guests. Your guide will also share stories and facts about the northern lights. If you bring your own camera and tripod, the guide will teach you the settings needed to capture the magical lights. Weather and conditions permitting, we might also enjoy a bonfire while we wait for the northern lights. The guide will take photos of you as well, while embracing the quiet moments of the night. Warm drinks and traditional snacks will keep you comfortable throughout this serene experience. This experience is designed for adults seeking a quiet, nature‑based evening.

If the weather becomes unsafe, or if unforeseen circumstances prevent Serene Nord from operating the experience, including guide illness without a replacement, sudden operational issues, or situations where fewer than 2 guests are booked, we will cancel the trip and provide a full refund. No additional compensation can be offered.
Cancellations by guests made less than 7 days before the trip, caused by circumstances outside our control such as illness, travel disruptions, or other personal situations, cannot be refunded.
